A variety of sizes
Because we are all different weights, shapes and sizes, most of our Riser/Recliners are available in a variety of styles and sizes. For long-term comfort it is important that you choose the correct size chair, with options to suit your personal needs and it is here that our experienced adviser can help. Sometimes, buying from stock is not the best option, if this is the case we can offer a unique fully bespoke service, where Riser/Recliners can be made to your exact requirement. This will guarantee your Riser/Recliner will be perfectly tailored to meet your size and needs.
Up to four size options
Our Premier, Rise in Comfort range features different sized chairs to meet the different weights, shapes and sizes of our customers, from large to medium to small. Our large chairs are capable of lifting up to 25 stone in weight. For those who need an even larger chair, we can offer a range of heavy-duty models featuring multi motors with a user weight limit of up to 35 stone. Special order chairs are available with user weights up to 50 stone. Ask for details.
Total comfort is in the right seat height
To ensure maximum comfort and support, it is important that the size of chair has an adjusted seat height along with its width and depth. In fact it’s this feature in our Premier range of chairs, which makes them so much more comfortable than competitor’s riser/recliners.

All dimensions are approximate and quoted in millimetres & inches. Allow a minimum tolerance of +/- 0.5″ (c13mm) on each dimension quoted. All chairs are measured closed. Dimensions will alter slightly after use. ‘As part of our policy of continuous improvement we reserve the right to alter any specification as and when necessary.’

Available on our most popular, Premier Rise /Recliners; Smarden, Appledore, Rye and Pluckley. the massage system is designed to help ease stress with a choice of multi-zone/multi function massage programmes including a relaxin vibratory system.
Heat Pad
A very popular option, particularly among our elderly customers or those suffering from lower back pain. Controlled from the same hand set as your Riser/Recliner, the heat pad option permeates the lower back with a gently relaxing warmth. Matching Footstools
Charterwood offer a range of footstools, designed to match your Riser/Recliner. Designs include a useful storage stool and a traditional legged design, all available in a fabric of your choice or fine British leather.

When you have invested so much time and hard earned cash into your new Riser/Recliner, the last thing you need is a careless spill or soiling to spoil the look of your upholstery. With this in mind, we can offer matching arm and chair back protectors to keep those areas of your chair that receives the most wear in a pristine condition. Rechargeable Battery
Optional rechargeable battery pack. In the event of a mains supply failure, this rechargeable battery pack will give you up to ten lift cycles (subject to user’s weight) and it fits all of our Riser/Recliners.
