What is the Motability Scheme?

• Easily trade your eligible mobility allowance for a brand-new scooter or powered wheelchair through the Motability Scheme.

How can I Purchase through the Motability Scheme?

Individuals receiving any of the following allowances may qualify to lease a New Scooter or Powered Wheelchair through the Motability Scheme:

• Higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Enhanced rate mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).
• As long as you have a qualifying mobility allowance with at least 12 months left.
